Sazgen saz won the Grand Prix.

In Almaty, from 6 to 8 September was National festival of folklore-ethnographic ensemble "Gasyrlar saz", dedicated to 20th anniversary of independence.

The festival was held at the Central Philharmonic Concert Hall im.Zhambyla, and on September 8 Gala Concert and awards were held in GATOB them. Abaya

These days, sounded the forgotten sounds of ancient instruments. Their programs provided 30 folklore ensembles from all over Kazakhstan. The festival was attended by leading the competition, folklore and ethnographic groups of the country, such as: "Sazgen saz", "Turan", "piedmont", "Kobyz Saryn."

Under the terms of the festival, each participant was required to play music specific to their region. Experts say that the Kazakhs there about 30 different musical instruments. But that's not widely known more than a decade. The fact that many of them have been preserved only in one copy.
