International Jazz Festival Aktobe-jazz-2011

The founders of the festival is the Aktobe regional management of culture in support of Akimat Aktobe region and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organizer is the Aktobe Oblast Philharmonic. Gaziza Zhubanova.

Aims and objectives of the festival - dating, promoting contacts and exchange of jazz groups and regional areas of Kazakhstan, CIS and far abroad, promotion of different trends and currents of jazz, the identification of talents with professional skills and knowledge of jazz performance, promotion and eastern Kazakh musical culture means jazz tone, polyrhythms, style, support creative jazz artists, familiarizing students to the best masterpieces of jazz classics and the search for innovation in contemporary currents of his.

The Festival was held October 7-8 at the concert hall of the regional philharmonic society. G. Zhubanova. The jury and the audience to present their art troupes from 10 cities of Astana and Almaty (Sazgen-Sazy), New York, Moscow, Tashkent, Bishkek, Ufa, Tolyatti, Aktobe.

Best bands were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.

Folklore-ethnographic ensemble Sazgen-Sazy won Grand Prix.

This is the second Grand Prix in kolletiva last month.
